StreamHelpers Pro

StreamHelpers Pro is the paid StreamHelpers.com account that turns on the extras in the dashboard. The free dashboard still runs your stream. Pro adds account-backed features and subscription-only switches; StreamHelpers no longer hosts platform chat connectors.

Prices and terms are on the Pro features page. Do not buy Pro to get private support: the help is this wiki and #help on Discord.

What Pro turns on

  • Pro Chat: chat from a separately paid Restream.io subscription (affiliate link), or a very advanced, unsupported user-operated feed. It powers the dashboard and Companion chat, overlays, Featured Messages, alerts and chat-driven games. Details are on Pro Chat.
  • Chat on camera phones: the Companion camera screen can show the show’s Pro Chat, if the chat overlay feed is set up.
  • Pro Live Map: publish your router’s GPS position to your own page on StreamHelpers.com, plus the Map address overlay. Full setup is on Pro Live Map.
  • Clean overlays: switch off the small StreamHelpers.com mark in the corner of the all-in-one overlay.
  • Motion & g-force: use a Companion phone’s motion sensors for g-force, airtime, spin, tilt, heading, steps and height change, with a Motion overlay.
  • Companion Pro layouts: Picture in picture and Main + 2 insets on the Companion director. The free layouts stay free.
  • Camera talkback: private messages between the director and each Companion camera phone.
  • Add a phone from anywhere: make a one-time QR invite for a camera phone that is not on this router’s Wi-Fi.

Getting Pro

Go to streamhelpers.com/pro, sign in with your email address, and subscribe. StreamHelpers sends a one-time sign-in link; there is no password to remember.

Try the free dashboard first. Pro adds features to a working setup; it does not buy one-to-one setup help.

Pairing a router

Pairing starts on the router, not on the website.

  1. On the router dashboard, press the crown button in the top bar. You can also open Settings, then StreamHelpers Pro, then Pro status, pair or manage….
  2. On the router’s StreamHelpers Pro page, press Pair this router. A StreamHelpers page opens in a new tab.
  3. Sign in there and approve the router. If the account page shows Router pairing waiting, press Claim and connect this router.
  4. Come back to the router. The Pro page should say Router paired and Pro is on. If it has not caught up yet, press Check again.

If you started pairing and did not finish, the router button changes to Resume pairing. If the router is paired, the buttons change to Manage on StreamHelpers and Unpair this router.

Once Pro is on, the small green Pro tags that sit beside Pro-only switches and cards around the dashboard disappear. They are only there to show what the subscription adds; a paired router has no use for them.

Unpair this router removes the router's local pairing secret and turns Pro features off there. Your subscriptions are unchanged. Disconnect Restream separately on the router if needed.

Your account page

Open streamhelpers.com/pro while signed in, or press Manage on StreamHelpers on the router’s Pro page.

Your account page lets you:

  • see whether StreamHelpers Pro is active;
  • press Subscribe monthly when the account is not active;
  • press Manage subscription to update your card, download invoices, or cancel through Stripe;
  • see your Paired routers;
  • check a router's Pairing; chat source setup is on the router, not the hosted account;
  • open Live map for a router and set the map address, title, display settings, privacy zone and stream link.

For supported chat, connect Restream.io on the router with a separate paid subscription, then finish Chat settings → Chat set-up. For the very advanced alternative, provide your own compatible feed and maintain your own connectors, keys, approvals and hosting. StreamHelpers does not run or support them.

If you cancel, Pro keeps working until the paid period ends. When the subscription expires or Stripe reports it as not active, the router no longer gets Pro data from StreamHelpers, Pro Chat and the live map stop receiving service data, the Pro-only Companion controls lock, Motion feeds go empty, and the overlay mark comes back the next time the Overlays tab can check the account.

If the router is offline

Most Pro features need the router to reach StreamHelpers.com. The router does not shut off a paid rig the moment the internet drops.

If the router recently confirmed Pro was active, that yes is cached for seven days. That keeps Pro-only local controls from switching off in the middle of a show when the router loses internet.

A no answer is checked again after ten minutes. That means a newly paired or newly paid router does not wait a week to turn on.

The overlay mark is stricter because it has to come back when Pro ends. The all-in-one overlay itself never waits on the internet, but opening the Overlays tab checks the live subscription state. A network failure does not count as expiry.

Several routers

One Pro account can list more than one paired router. Each has its own Pairing and Live map buttons on the account page, and its own chat setup on the router. Access still depends on the same account having an active subscription.

Privacy

StreamHelpers.com handles Pro login, Stripe entitlement, pairing and the live map. Restream authorization and refresh tokens stay on your router in protected storage. An advanced adapter keeps its own platform credentials on your infrastructure; only its feed URL and optional bearer token are configured on the router.

The browser never shows Restream refresh tokens or the router's pairing device secret. Trusted dashboard operators and paired Companion devices receive the router's Restream access token to collect chat; do not expose the lease endpoint publicly. Normal backups redact the advanced feed bearer token.

For the live map, use the privacy zone before your first stream from a private place.

Support

Pro does not include live, phone, email or private support. Questions go to #help on Discord, like the rest of StreamHelpers.
