How support works
StreamHelpers.com is a very small operation, and the software is free. There is no email support, no ticket system and no private help line. The support is this wiki and the community on Discord, where people who run the same gear help each other in public, so every answer helps the next person too.

Voting
Feature requests, bug reports and docs ideas are Discord forum posts. Every post starts with a π, and anyone can add π or π.
- Search first. If it has already been asked, vote on that post and add anything new there.
- Votes are how things get noticed. A clear, well-voted post is what gets passed on. A reply that only says β+1β or βany update?β doesn't count, and gets removed.
- Describe the problem, not just the fix you have in mind. For a bug, give the steps, what you expected, what happened, and your versions. Dashboard: Settings β System update. Companion: its main screen.
The Trusted members
A handful of experienced community members hold the Trusted role on Discord and the trusted group on this wiki. They are volunteers. They:
- tag and sort forum posts (Under review, Needs info, Confirmed, Duplicateβ¦)
- merge duplicates and close what can't be acted on
- pass the well-voted, well-described items on to StreamHelpers, and tag them Passed on
- give wiki edit access to people who ask for it
- moderate: warn, time out and, when needed, ban
They're the gate between the community and StreamHelpers. Please don't DM them for one-to-one help, and don't go looking for a personal email address. Private requests aren't answered. Passed on means it has been heard, not that it has been promised. StreamHelpers decides what gets built, and when.
What you can expect
- No warranty. The software is free and provided as-is. See the disclaimer.
- Best effort from volunteers. Be patient, be kind, and help someone else while you wait.
- No source code. It isn't published, and asking won't change that.
