Theme park and travel IRL streaming
Built by theme park and travel streamers, StreamHelpers puts information about the day into the broadcast: where you are, what is nearby, how long the queue takes and what the audience thinks.
Live theme park wait times and show information
Choose a supported destination and park, then show available attraction wait times, show times and dining information. The dashboard can present the data as a ticker, scrolling list, static list or one item at a time. Switch parks through the dashboard without replacing the combined encoder overlay URL.
Park data comes from the community-run ThemeParks.wiki service. Availability and freshness vary by destination and feed; displayed waits are not a guarantee of the actual queue. Keep the provider credit and follow official park information.
GPS maps, location names and your next stop
Use Companion phone GPS, router GPS or a supported USB receiver for maps, tracks, distance and location overlays. Nearby supported park and attraction data can provide a location name without an AI key. The destination overlay can explain where you are heading and show available distance and wait information.
GPS accuracy depends on the device and surroundings. A fix near a large building or attraction is not proof you are inside it. Public Live Map sharing is optional Pro: decide deliberately whether to share your location, especially near home, accommodation or another private place.
Turn a queue into audience participation
Start a queue timer, ask viewers to guess the wait or run a poll about the next stop. Trivia cards can show questions, countdowns and results; the emoji meter visualizes chat activity. Position these graphics so they add to the show without obscuring the camera's main subject.
Game cards can be used without automated participation. Automatic vote counting, answer scoring, guess collection and emoji activity require Pro Chat. The supported chat source is Restream.io with a separate paid subscription. Its reply-capable chat opens separately; StreamHelpers does not provide hosted direct platform connectors.
Weather for a day outdoors
Forecast, hourly weather, radar and lightning overlays provide context for a moving stream. An optional SwitchBot Outdoor Meter supplies nearby temperature and humidity through Companion Bluetooth. A phone's battery temperature is not the outdoor air temperature; keep an external meter shaded and ventilated.
Weather services and location lookups need working internet and configured integrations. Do not rely on a stream graphic as a safety alert. Follow local weather guidance and park staff instructions.
Keep the rig compact and the carry safe
A Mudi 7 and Android Companion phone form the core; add a compatible small camera or power bank only when needed. For a longer show, more phones can provide angles or cellular links. Crowded venues can overload several connections at once, so carrier diversity and realistic bonding tests matter more than simply counting SIMs.
Follow venue and attraction rules. Store gear as required, never use loose handheld equipment on a ride, and film only where explicitly permitted. Protect other visitors' privacy, keep devices ventilated and avoid blocking paths while operating controls.
Useful beyond the parks
The same Android production and overlay workflow works for walking tours, city streams and travel broadcasts. Use location, weather and audience features that fit the day; leave irrelevant integrations unconfigured. Optional AI descriptions and questions need your own provider key and should be checked before presenting them as facts.
Read the community guides for configuration and compare free and Pro features.
Build your day-out rig
Plan hardware, power, data and receiver hosting. The dashboard is free by invitation; optional Pro and external services are separate.
